“If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.”

About ME

Lyndsey Lyons, LPC

(they/ all pronouns)

At our core, we are innately good and whole. This is the foundation of my therapeutic approach. In my view, it is my job to support you in uncovering that truth.

I’m passionate about supporting people to explore the depths of their souls to live more meaningful, connected lives. My own healing journey evolved out of coping with depression, alienation, and abuse. My suffering and intuition led me toward a path of healing. My personal experience of walking this path is one of the biggest resources I have in working with people with their own struggles.  I’ve learned about the complexities and nuances of trauma and nervous system regulation and what it takes to heal. I see healing as ongoing and collective. In a society so focused on the idea that there is something wrong with us, the healing culture can mirror this belief with the idea that we have to constantly try to fix ourselves.  Unconditional loving-kindness toward what is right in front of us is one of the best medicines to heal from this healing culture. I am deeply in awe by everyone that I work with and the ways they’ve learned to navigate this life. I believe in intrinsic worthiness and helping people see their basic goodness.

My areas of focus in therapy have directly emerged from where I have found the most support in my own process: psychedelics, sexuality, relationships, and somatic trauma healing.

As a relational-somatic psychedelic therapist, it’s my intention to step into the mystery with you as you feel held and supported. Psychedelic therapy is extremely vulnerable and it is so important to feel a sense of safety in the container. I have found that committing to a process – not just a peak experience – offers the deepest healing. That being said, I respect that peak experiences can ignite people on their path, and can even make profound shifts.

In 2017 I began working at a cannabis and ketamine therapy center. It was one of the first around that integrated psychotherapy with ketamine (as opposed to an IV or IM clinic). I’ve adopted the method I learned of somatic psychedelic therapy into my own practice. Currently, Innate Path has shifted into offering psychedelic training for practitioners and I participate as faculty.

As a life-long learner of psychedelics, I’ve had the privilege to be a part of the first cohort of AWE Psychedelic Therapy Training. In this three year training, we’ve learned from various indigenous traditions and elders with an emphasis on being in right relationship and being of service. A very important question to hold in the ‘psychedelic renaissance’ is how to stay ethical as psychedelic capitalism grows.

I’m a white, cis-presenting, queer, non-binany woman. I primarily use they/them pronouns and I welcome all pronouns. I welcome those with similar or unique identities and I am committed to my growth in unpacking my privilege and how I can better support marginalized folks. I welcome those that have felt like an outsider and seek belonging. My experiences in kink communities, collaborating with sex workers, prison work, and time in the army influences my work and how I can support people who may have felt exiled to come back into belonging and celebration of their unique experiences.
